 ARALING PANLIPUNAN CLUB STAGES MS. UN 2011

Afternoon of October 21, the most awaited highlight for the month unravelled as 22 gorgeous students of Prudencia shown their beauty and finesse and competed for Miss United Nations 2011.

The program were led by Christian Paul Gangan and Queenie Escueta, from IV-Zeus. It started with a soulful prayer followed by the singing of the national anthem by Joker Madayag and Anna Dominic Belen respectively. PDFMNHS Principal, Mrs. Antonia Villanueva, delivered her warmful opening message. Mr. Ely Flores, ESP-I Araling Panlipunan (Secondary), and Ms. Cresenciana De Luna, School Advicer, gave their enlightening message.

The presentation of candidates with their national costume was one of the exciting part of the pageant. Each participants resembled 22 different country costumes. And Ms. Japan emerged and won “Best In National Costume” for her red, glamorous kimono.

Candidates also showcased their abilities in the “Talent Portion”. They made it to their fullest but Ms. U.S.A. Got the award for her “New York, New York” production number, completed with a Las Vegas-themed outfit.

The competition got hotter in the “Long Gown Portion”. And the “Most Photogenic” candidate was Ms. Brazil on her facebook photo with 544 likes.And the top four was announced namely: Ms. U.S.A., Ms. Japan, Ms. Russia, and Ms. Brazil, proceeded to the “Quetion and Answer Portion”.

And in the end, Ellaine Shara Luluquisin (Ms. Russia), is the 3rd runner up and Gladys Avila (Ms. U.S.A.) is the 2nd runner up. Kiana Carisse Bassett (Ms. Brazil) won 1st runner up and the new crowned Ms. United Nations is no other than Christine Grafil (Ms. Japan).
