 SENIOR BOYSCOUTS PARTICIPATE IN REGIONAL JAMBOREE

     Over 13,000 participants including Scouts and Scout Leaders from all over the three regions namely: National Capital Region (NCR), Southern Tagalog Region (STR), and Bicol Region joined the First One Luzon Regional Scout Jamborette in Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur with a theme of “Scouts: Building A Better Community”.

     This six-day training from October 24-29, 2011 is organized for young people, both male and female who are 12 to 17 years old to enhance their resourcefulness creativity and leadership skill. Each Patrol or Crew is consist of 8 members: the Senior Crew Leader, Assistant Crew Leader, Scribe, Treasurer, Hike Master, Grab Master, Quarter Master, and the Cheerleader.

     Participants brought their personal camping utensils including sleepingh bags, eating utensils, flashlights, swimsuits, rain gears, tents and personal belongings.

     Two students from Prudencia D. Fule Memorial National High School participated in the said event. They were Senior Scouts Christian Paul R. Gangan and Marvin Bunyi, together with their Outfit Advisor, Mr. Francis S. Dionglay. During the camp, new challenging activities were experienced, like emergency preparedness, cooking, swimming, wood crafting, and team building activities.

     The Jamboree's the Cultural night was the most memorable one. Each council presented an intermission number that showcased the culture of their provinces through dancing, singing, etc.

     The Jamboree lasted for 6 days and 5 nights. All scout participants met new friends, faced new challenges and enjoyed once in a lifetime experience.
